What Is a Cooling Lube?

Cooling lube is a personal lubricant, water-based in every case we stock, with an added menthol, peppermint or cooling botanical that produces a chilled, tingling sensation where it touches. How to Choose Your First Cooling Lube

Choose in this order: intensity, then what you are using it with, then size. Menthol is personal, so the first bottle should be small and the first squeeze smaller.

Menthol is the ingredient most likely to irritate, so patch-test if you are sensitive and use less than you would of a plain lube. Keep cooling products off broken skin and away from eyes, and use only anal-labelled formulas for anal play.

How to Use a Cooling Lube

Apply a small amount and wait a few seconds; the chill arrives fast and sharpens when you breathe on it. Add more only if you want more tingle, and top up with a plain water-based lube if you need more slip without more menthol.

Cap it, keep it upright and away from heat; menthol loses its edge in a hot cupboard. Use within a year or two of opening.

It rinses off skin and toys with warm water; a toy cleaner on strokers, then air-dry. Fabric washes clean in a normal cycle. Bin anything that separates or smells off.
