What Is an Anal Lube?

How to Choose Your First Anal Lube

Choose in this order: what you are using it with, then how long you need it to last, then thickness, then size of bottle. Get the first two right and the rest is preference.

1. Toy first: silicone toys mean water-based lube

Silicone lube degrades silicone toys, and most quality plugs and dildos are silicone. If you own any, a water-based gel such as the Anal Glide Natural Lube 127G is the safe default. Glass, steel and skin take anything.

Silicone lubes are dimethicone blends: inert, body-safe, condom-safe and waterproof, but they attack silicone toys and stain fabric.

How to Use an Anal Lube
